As if she needed to give us further proof that she is amazing and awesome, my sister took me out on Friday for my bachelorette party. By "took me out" I mean she arranged for some good friends and family to all take a ride to Atlantic City for a little sleepover party.
It was exactly what I needed to relax after last week's "We have to postpone the wedding" debacle - which was coupled with an emergency root canal and a costly car repair. She treated me like a princess, and everyone in our little group got along so well. It was such a lovely break and I cannot thank her enough (and her mother-in-law, who helped with the planning). My sister is really the thoughtful, kind woman / mother that I would like to be 'when I grow up'.
Oh, and she got me a manipedi. My sad fingers and toes now look FABULOUS.
The "other news" is that there is no news. Thank you ALL for your kind comments. I forget how blogging can make you feel so supported, even when you spend too much time alone. For now, nothing has changed. We hope that he will get his visa before September third, but are sort of accepting that we will not. Mind you I am infinitely positive that the USCIS will pull a rabbit out of it's proverbial hat and we will be saying our vows on the previously scheduled day, but plan B's are being put in place.

Regardless of the status of the wedding, all my closest friends and family will soon be flying in. My coming weeks will be spent visiting and entertaining and catching up with people I haven't seen in longer than I care to admit. There is certainly no better way to handle a time like this than in the company of the people you love. I am excited for all of their respective visits (I miss my mommy so much!!) and I before I know it my fiance will be back in my arms. See? Positivity.
I guess you could say I feel all your good vibrations from here!

yay for positivity! Looks like you had a fabulous time with your friends and there are many more fab times on the horizon. Try not to let the wedding and Visa stuff overwhelm you and just focus on enjoying the company of those you care about :)
How fun! I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you. :)
